A trio of Australian teenagers are being hailed as heroes for rescuing a stranded baby dolphin.
This being 2016, there’s a video:
The young dolphin got stuck in shallow waters in Goegrup Lake in Western Australia and began to call for its mother. That’s when 15-year-olds Zachary Allegretta, Michael Randall and Ryan Dalzell jumped into action and gently helped get him to deeper water.
‘We thought it was sick at first, so we got close to it and we saw the tide was going out and it was beached,’ Zachary told The Daily Advertiser.
‘The mother wasn’t anywhere around and the baby was doing its mimic call to attract her.’
This dolphin got a second chance at life thanks to the quick action of these three mates.
